That’s what happened last month in Quebec. After years of advocacy pushing for expanded access to the abortion pill, three significant barriers to abortion were lifted: Quebec will no longer require an ultrasound before accessing the abortion pill, prescribing the pill will no longer require additional training, and Quebec midwives will be able to prescribe abortion pills this fall.
We are changing systems by breaking down barriers to access today and building a world for future generations where abortion is an option for every person who wants it.
Province by province, territory by territory, together with you and our partners, we’ve mobilized for these wins. But we can’t take them for granted.
