Over and over we keep hearing from physicians who want to provide the abortion pill, Mifegymiso, but can’t. Some just don’t have the time for additional training. Others who’ve completed the training can’t find a pharmacy to fill the prescription.
So what can be done?
Roll-out takes time but for someone seeking an abortion, time is sensitive. We need pharmacists and providers to continue to take the training and list themselves on directories connecting providers, dispensers and the public. We need Health Canada to ease unnecessary restrictions.
