Octopus Books, Inter Pares and Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights present: Women’s Health, Women’s Rights.
Join us for a discussion of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Leading the discussion will be staff from Ottawa-based organizations Inter Pares and Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights with special guests Caren Pineda and Mark Abellon from the Likhaan Centre for Women’s Health in the Philippines.
You will hear stories of how a network of women’s health clinics are overcoming the challenges of poverty, violence, and the lack of access to contraception and sex education in schools. We will be making the links between upholding sexual and reproductive health and rights in the Philippines and in Canada.
