Action Canada would like to acknowledge the contribution of Kara Gillies over the past year, and announce that Julie Delahanty, former Executive Director of Oxfam Canada, will be stepping into the role of Interim ED while the board undergoes its recruitment process.
As Executive Director, Kara has approached the internal and external work of the organization with a sharp and critical focus on anti-oppression, anti-racism, and decolonization. Julie’s leadership experience, knowledge of the sector, and expertise on sexual and reproductive health and rights are ideal for Action Canada during this transition and will build on Kara’s work.

I am honoured to have worked with such dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, and funders, but will be stepping down as Executive Director in order to pursue a new opportunity.
