Over 60% of people who contact the Access Line say that travel and financial insecurity are major barriers to abortion access for them. Many depend on support from the Norma Scarborough Emergency Fund (the only one of its kind in Canada) to pay for the travel, accommodations, medication, and related expenses that they can't otherwise afford.
