Up for Debate Wants Your Questions

With a federal election just 10 weeks away, the Alliance for Women’s Rights is getting ready to ask Canada’s political leaders some tough questions about violence against women, women’s economic equality and women in leadership. But we want your help.

Six debates are already scheduled, with the possibility of another confirmed in the coming weeks. We’re still calling for the last debate to focus on women’s rights, but we need to be prepared for the possibility that it won’t.

Whether we ultimately bring your questions about women and federal policy to the leaders through a standalone debate on women’s rights, or as key questions/segments in debates organized by Maclean’s, the Globe and Mail, TVA, the Munk Debates, or the Consortium, the important thing is that these questions are answered.

So we want to know: What question do you want the federal leaders to answer?

For instance, the Native Women’s Association of Canada wants to ask political party leaders:

“What will your government do to support women’s participation in the economy?”
