L’avortement, c’est notre droit. Personne ne nous le retirera. Nous vivrons dans un monde où toute personne peut recourir à l’avortement en sécurité et avec du soutien. Nous nous engageons maintenant, comme nous l’avons fait pendant plus de 50 ans, à renverser toute politique ou manœuvre politique qui attaque nos corps, nos communautés et les droits que nous avons acquis au fil de décennies de résistance. Nous promettons de poursuivre la lutte pour rendre l’avortement plus égal.
Nous nous engageons à combattre toutes les attaques politiques contre les droits génésiques jusqu’à ce qu’il soit inconcevable que nos leaders menacent notre autonomie, notre santé et nos droits, au Canada, dans les Amériques et dans le monde entier. La solidarité transcende les frontières.
Les élections de 2019 sont un champ de bataille.
Des mouvements populistes anti-choix et régressifs de toutes parts nous confrontent toutes à des risques. Nous devons nous unir pour combattre. Le droit à l’avortement est une des cibles des attaquants contre les femmes, les personnes LGBTQ2, les migrant-es, les personnes handicapées et les personnes racisées. Restreindre ou refuser l’accès à l’avortement a toujours un impact disproportionné sur les personnes les plus marginalisées. Nous ne laisserons personne de côté.
